Wellness Exams
At Allure, we believe that regular checkups and wellness exams are critical to your pets’ well-being. These wellness exams give us a chance to evaluate the overall health of your pet while also giving us a baseline for their unique bodies and tendencies. Pets are genetically wired to hide any illness. Through routine wellness exams, preventable disease like obesity, ear infections and dental disease can be addressed, and early screenings for arthritis, diabetes and kidney disease can be performed. The net result of routine wellness exams is early detection and prevention of disease, which means a healthier and longer life for your pet!
Vaccinations
Here at Alluree, we take a judicious approach to vaccinations. Vaccinations have been invaluable in the veterinary fight against potentially fatal diseases such as: Parvovirus, Distemper virus, Feline Leukemia and the Rabies virus. Still our first step in avoiding these diseases today, and for this reason, we continue to include them as part of our wellness plan for each pet.
However, we also like to consider each patient as an individual when we formulate a vaccine plan. Certain patients may do better with longer spaces between vaccines, or electing for antibody titer tests instead. Some pets may have higher or lower risks of certain diseases based on their lifestyle. This consideration helps us keep each patient protected against disease, while also keeping their immune systems healthy for the duration of their lives. Schedule an appointment today to discuss which vaccinations are right for your pet’s individual needs.
Parasite Prevention
The idea of your pet being infested with parasites is a disturbing thought, but it’s also a medical issue that can have serious consequences if not properly dealt with or prevented. Parasites pose a variety of health issues for our pets, who can be very susceptible to certain parasites depending on age, region, and other factors.
Innumerable parasite control options exist, and our veterinarians and nurses can work with you to determine which products fit best for your pet based on your pet’s conditions and lifestyle.
Onsite Diagnostics
In order to provide fast and accurate diagnostic results, Allure provides a wide variety of in-house diagnostic testing with state of the art technology. It is our goal to provide your pet with the highest level of care, and our diagnostic suite helps us do just that.
Dentistry
Dental care is vital to the overall health of every pet. In fact, 80% of dogs and 70% of cats over 3 years of age suffer from some form of dental disease, making it the most common pet health issue among our pet population. Because dental disease can also be a gateway to heart, liver, immune and kidney disease, our veterinarians take dental health seriously. Allure offers comprehensive dentals which includes all of the following:
1. Dental Exam
2. Baseline Bloodwork
3. General Anesthesia
4. Full Mouth Scaling/Cleaning
5. Full Mouth Radiographs
6. Extractions (If Necessary)
7. Full Mouth Polish
8. Goodie to Go Home
9. No Charge Follow Up Exam
Surgery
At Allure we provide a wide range of surgical services for our patients. From routine surgical procedures, such as spays and neuters, to more complex surgeries, we strive in making the process easy and stress free for our patients and their pet parents. Please request an appointment to discuss our surgical options with one of our staff veterinarians and be provided with a free estimate!
Spay And Neuter
Spaying and neutering is the most effective and humane way of decreasing the euthanasia of homeless animals in shelters. At least three million adoptable cats and dogs are euthanized in the U.S. each year because they don’t have homes — numbers largely attributable to unplanned litters that could have been prevented by spaying or neutering.
Spaying and neutering can prevent serious health complications, such as mammary tumors, uterine infections, testicular tumors and prostate tumors in your pet.
Schedule an appointment to discuss the procedure in more detail as well as the best age at which to have these procedures.
Microchipping
Every year, thousands of pets go missing. That is why we have partnered with HomeAgain to help aid our pet parents in reuniting with their families in case they become separated from their much loved furry friends. This is a simple, safe and effective way to ensure your pet’s safety and retrieval should they ever become lost. As a bonus, new microchips also read your pet’s temperature – no more rectal thermometers!
Radiology
Allure offers digital radiographs (also known as x-rays). This allows our veterinarians to quickly diagnose underlying health issues related to soft tissue abnormalities, joint disease, broken bones and more.
Ultrasonography
Along with radiographs, we offer ultrasounds which also aid in capturing images of your pet’s soft tissue structures (internal organs and blood vessels). Ultrasound utilizes sound waves to provide veterinarians a non-invasive, painless, and radiation-free method of imaging your pets’ internal organs.
Laser Treatments
We are proud to offer laser therapy, an innovative new way to treat pain and inflammation in pets. Laser therapy uses specific wavelengths of light to create therapeutic effects such as improved healing time, pain reduction, decreased infection, increased circulation and decreased swelling. Multiple studies have shown laser therapy can help with a variety of problems including arthritis, joint pain, ligament sprains, muscle strains, dog/cat bites, feline acne/asthma, hotspots, post trauma/surgery pain, hip dysplasia, lick granulomas and snake/bug bites.
Nutritional Counseling
At Allure, our philosophy on nutrition is to offer the best, ideally less processed foods for each individualized pet based on your pet’s conditions. Our veterinarians work with you to also consider affordability and time needed to offer certain diets so that the ideal nutrition for your pet can also fit into your lifestyle.
We believe that food is medicine and can not only work to help treat certain conditions, but also prevent them.
Behavior Management
Pets with behavioral problems can often pose a frustrating challenge for pet owners. However, through behavioral consultations, we can correct unwanted behaviors and enrich both your life and your pets’ life.
